Savoury, structure, smooth.
Located on the Skaha Bench overlooking stunning Skaha Lake near Penticton, Pentage is an underrated family owned boutique winery.
One of the few Tempranillos made in the Okanagan, Pentage's version is blatantly savoury. It was aged for 8 months in a mix of French and American, newer and neutral oak.
Expect classic Rioja character; think cherries and sun-dried tomatoes in oil, charcuterie, salted licorice and brown spice aromas. Notable structure, it is a serious wine that is smooth and meaty and medium-full bodied. Red berries and spiced cocoa flavours dominate and trail on the finish.
